Beth Starr
Beth Starr graduated in BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 2017 and has since explored a specific interest in thanatology. Currently, her artistic practice focuses on the concept of memorialisation with the aim to encourage the conversation of death within a society that views it as taboo.
Remembering The Dead
In an aim to discover what the future of memorialisation will look like; this pilot project examines how emerging technology is affecting the way in which the dead are being remembered within Western Culture through interviews and tentative experiments with cutting-edge technologies such as 3D scanning, AI animated photographs and digital avatars.
