MA Fashion Innovation & Realisation
I am an experienced menswear designer with a career spanning across multiple market levels within the fashion industry. In all the businesses I have worked with it is evident that the development and manufacturing processes are creating huge inequalities for production workers in the garment supply chain as well as escalating logistical issues contributing to the global climate crisis. The industry needs imminent change.
I joined the MA fashion innovation and realization programme as I have spotted a gap in the market for an ecommerce fashion business model that could solve the environmental, social and ethical issues caused by overproduction and excessive produced development in the industry. My proposed concept combines the accuracy of 3D design technology, digital selling platforms, and a presale business model, to create a digital marketplace in which fashion businesses can pre-sell 3D rendered clothing directly to the consumer, minimising product development and eliminating over production.
