I am a figurative painter and I tend toward mundane or “boring” subjects that are typically overlooked in everyday life. I’ve found I intuitively return to homely, domestic moments, often tied to family and comfort. My love for the mundane and domestic isn’t limited to the subject matter but also extends to the materials I implement, using re-purposed domestic items to create my paintings.
