“Breaking Silence: Overcoming Language Barriers within Healthcare” explores issues surrounding language barriers in healthcare and how to equip patients with the tools necessary to improve their care experiences. The project uses stickers with QR codes placed around the city, focused near healthcare facilities, to share information about translation and interpretation services to patients who may not be aware of their language rights. These stickers, translated into the three most commonly spoken languages in Liverpool aside from English, serve as a call to action, encouraging patients to advocate for their healthcare rights and improve their healthcare experiences.
