About
Dear Students and Colleagues
Join us at the Liverpool School of Art and Design for a celebratory afternoon as part of our annual prize-giving ceremony for graduating students of the Art and Design masters cluster.
Each year we celebrate the innovative practice and research of recent graduates of Art in Science, Exhibition Studies, Graphic Design and Illustration, Fashion Innovation and Realisation, and Fine Art by presenting the Liverpool Art and Design Masters’ Award – a prize selected from a staff shortlist by an eminent guest from the vibrant creative communities of the Liverpool City Region.
This year the Liverpool Art and Design Masters’ Award is selected and awarded by Mike Pinnington, co-founder and editor of The Double Negative, an online magazine for art, design, film and music founded in Liverpool in 2011. The winning nominee will be the subject of a special interview feature in The Double Negative, sharing their current work and research with the magazine’s growing international readership.
In addition to the prize-giving, light refreshments will be available alongside an installation of graduating student work, speeches by art school leaders, a special presentation of works in progress by current students, and opportunities to talk with staff and students from across the taught postgraduate programmes.
The nominee are:
MA Art in Science – Samantha Cooper
MA Exhibition Studies – Isabelle Wells-Walters
MA Fashion Innovation and Realisation – Samir Edwards Sutton
MA Graphic Design and Illustration – Beth Land
MA Fine Art – Harriet Morley
