BA (Hons) Fine Art
Kellie O’Hanlon
Art is the lens through which I view and translate the world, and as a multimedia artist based in Liverpool, I draw inspiration from the diverse textures, colours, and stories around me, weaving them into my work in unique and imaginative ways. My art is a fusion of traditional craft and contemporary techniques, combining oils, watercolours, and acrylics with elements of embroidery, knitting, and crochet. This integration of tactile and visual elements allows me to explore new dimensions of creativity and expression.
My work is a vibrant exploration of both figurative landscapes and electric portraits. When I paint landscapes, I aim to capture the essence and spirit of the environment, often imbuing the scene with a sense of movement and vitality. My portraits, on the other hand, delve into the unique aura and contextual circumstances of my subjects, blending vivid colours and intricate textures to create an emotional resonance that connects with viewers on a deeper level. This approach allows me to create multi-dimensional pieces that invite viewers to explore and interact with the art on multiple levels.
I believe that art has the power to make a difference, which is why I am committed to giving back through my work. I currently accept commissions for specific portraits and landscapes, allowing me to collaborate with clients to create personalised art that resonates with their vision and memories. Additionally, I sell prints of my original artwork, with 10% of the profits from these sales being donated to charitable causes such as The Teapot Trust and Strawberry Fields Step to Work Programme.
I hope my art inspires you, sparks your imagination, and encourages you to find beauty in the world around you. If you'd like to learn more about my work or discuss a commission, please feel free to get in touch.
