Lacey Purchase is a Liverpool/Chester based artist that explores the fragmentation of identity and perception through distorted portraiture and print work. Based on own experiences with epilepsy, dissociation, and hallucinations, she makes monochromatic forms that blur the lines between appearance and reality Every work is a visual representation of what it means to be seen but misinterpreted, a study in vulnerability.
