Keeping Wales Alive

Megan High is a mixed media artist who primarily uses acrylic and printing to create her work. Her work is based on Welsh culture, as well as polycephalic creatures. She brings aspects of her Welsh identity into her work to celebrate and keep it alive while living in England, with personal and sometimes subtle references.
Megan’s work is not overtly Welsh themed, although many of the ideas and imagery stem from this, allowing the viewer to interpret for themselves what the pieces mean. Many of her pieces bring together religious, cultural and mythological themes.
