Botanic Fragments

Mia’s body of work explores the emotional and tactile possibilities of floral abstraction through mixed media, layering and gesture. She is interested in how softness can be a form of strength, how attention to the forms of flowers symbolize the idea of care and fragility. The floral forms become more than botanical illustrations, but rather emotional topographies; sites of comfort, decay and joy.
