This documentary will showcase the friendships, community and togetherness both on and off the board as we delve into the goings on of the Liverpool Chess Club throughout the year. With footage of games, interviews and candid moments, Pieces on a Board will show a side to the game many people would never have seen. With the help of one of the UK's most prestigious clubs, Pieces on a Board will bring the game to life and all that comes with it to a new audience as well as those who love the game and want to see themselves in what is, in media, an underrepresented and often underappreciated game, both on and off the board.
